Under inter-university agreements*, students may apply for semester-long or short-term funded stays in Germany as follows:

Selection Procedure and Further Information on Mobility

• Applications must be submitted via the online system. A guide describing the application process is available here.

• The selection procedure is based on specific criteria, which also serve as key guidance for applicants. These criteria outline what is emphasised in the assessment and which documents need to be submitted. It is essential to study them carefully.

Required Documents

• Consent to the processing of personal data

• Structured CV in English or German

• Motivation letter in English or German

• Preliminary confirmation of acceptance from a supervisor at the partner university (doctoral candidates only; academic staff must provide an invitation letter)

• Transcript of records and grade average from previous studies at Charles University (doctoral candidates only)

• Study plan (semester stays only)

• Academic visitor application (doctoral candidates and academic staff only)
