Charles University has around 200 international agreements with institutions from all over the world
Many of these agreements include provisions for student exchanges, enabling students from partner universities to study for one semester or a whole academic year, to participate in short-term placements, or to attend summer language courses at Charles University. Students have the option of studying at different Charles University faculties, depending on the terms of the specific agreement.
More details will be provided by the international office of your home university or by the member of staff responsible for these matters at the Charles University International Relations Office.
Required documents (either in Czech or English):
Motivation letter and study plan
Transcript of records (study results)
Photocopy of passport (only non-EU students)
Nomination letter from home university
Letter of recommendation
English language proficiency certificate min. level B2 (only for non-native speakers)
Invitation letter written by a CU faculty member, if the applicant is a PhD student
Your study abroad coordinator should send the above mentioned documents to the respective CU coordinator via email by the following deadlines (no hard copy is needed):
For winter semester periods:
31 March for students to whom visa requirements apply
For summer semester periods:
30 September for students to whom visa requirements apply
If you are applying for a study period at Charles University, please submit the above-listed documents to the international office of your home university by an earlier date set by your university.
