International Mobility of Staff


Staff mobility (both academic and non-academic) is an integral part of the internationalisation strategy of Charles University. We consider international engagement of academic and research staff to be an essential component of their professional and career development. Therefore, we provide opportunities for mobility and cooperation at the international level.


Staff may choose from the following mobility options:

  • EU – ERASMUS+

  • Inter-university Agreements

  • Faculty Agreements

  • International Agreements


The primary objectives of staff mobility are:

  • gaining international experience in teaching abroad, hosting foreign lecturers, and sharing examples of good practice, e.g. in the development of foreign-language study programmes

  • enhancing the professional or language qualifications of Charles University staff.


… and, consequently:

  • developing relations with foreign partner universities

  • deepening cooperation aimed at joint project activities

  • increasing the visibility and promotion of the good name of Charles University both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
