Akt o umělé inteligenci ukládá na vývojáře a provozovatele AI požadavky a povinnosti týkající se použití umělé inteligence. Tento dokument se týká i vzdělávacích institucí, kde se AI používá. Zjišťujeme přesně, jaké povinnosti z Aktu vyplývají pro univerzitu Karlovu a jak na ně reagovat.

Zkoumáme, jaké nástroje umělé inteligence by se hodily pro výuku a jaké jsou možnosti jejich uvedení na univerzitu. Jedním z takovýchto nástrojů je OneTutor, který umožňuje vyučujícím nahrát do nástroje podklady k výuce a studujícím s těmito materiály „chatovat". Momentálně testujeme, jak efektivní tento nástroj je a zda by se v českém prostředí pro tyto účely hodil.

V pracovní skupině Generativní AI na UK již delší dobu dáváme dohromady Doporučení o užívání AI v závěrečných pracích. Momentálně je dokument již napsaný a prochází revizemi, připomínkují jej členové pracovní skupiny. Doufáme, že již brzy nahradí doporučení, na které vede tento odkaz.

Webová stránka ai.cuni.cz, je místo, kde informujeme o oblasti AI na univerzitě. Generativní umělá inteligence se posunuje mílovými kroky a mění se i způsob, jak k ní přistupujeme, jak se o ní učíme a jak ji používáme. Momentálně revidujeme naše stránky, abychom tyto změny reflektovali.

Co by to byl akademický rok bez akcí věnujících se umělé inteligenci? Plánujeme i na tento rok další setkávání k AI, školení i workshopy. Momentálně již víme, že proběhne další setkání k tématu AI manipulací a dezinformací, kulatý stůl o AI v kvalifikačních pracích a klasické školení práce s umělou inteligencí pro začátečníky i mírně pokročilé.

Účelem aplikace AI Sandbox je poskytnout zaměstnancům a zaměstnankyním UK chatbota pro bezpečné chatování s modely generativní AI. Aplikaci právě testujeme a pracujeme na vychytávání problémů, doplňování chybějících funkcí a administraci.

The AI Act provides developers and AI operators with requirements and obligations regarding the use of artificial intelligence. This document also concerns educational institutions where AI is used. We are determining what precise obligations the Act imposes on Charles University and how to respond to them.

We are exploring which artificial intelligence tools would be suitable for teaching and what possibilities exist for introducing them to the university. One such tool is OneTutor, which allows instructors to upload teaching materials and enables students to "chat" with these materials. Currently, we are testing how effective this tool is and whether it would be appropriate for use in the Czech educational environment.

In the Generative AI working group at Charles University, we have for some time been preparing Recommendations on the use of AI in final theses. The document is now written and is currently under review, with members of the working group providing comments. We hope it will soon replace the recommendations available through this link.

The website ai.cuni.cz is the place where we share information about AI at the university. Generative artificial intelligence is advancing by leaps and bounds, and the ways in which we approach it, learn about it, and use it are also changing. We are currently revising our pages to reflect these developments.

What would an academic year be without events dedicated to artificial intelligence? We are planning more AI meetings, trainings, and workshops for this year as well. At this point, we already know there will once again be a meeting on AI manipulations and disinformation, a roundtable on AI in academic theses, and our classic training sessions on working with AI—both for beginners and for those with some prior experience. The purpose of the AI Sandbox application is to provide Charles University staff with a chatbot for safely interacting with generative AI models. We are currently testing the application, working on ironing out issues, adding missing features, and managing its administration.
