Welcome to the new academic year. We hope the start of the semester is smooth and that you have plenty of strength and energy for your studies. Already in October, CU Point is offering some great courses—don’t hesitate to sign up! In this newsletter, you’ll also find tips on where to seek study support and care for your mental well-being.

Get involved in the student community to get inspired or find new connections and experiences that will make your university life exceptional. There are many ways to join in—volunteering, student clubs, or community meet-ups at the Study Club Celetná or Kampus Hybernská.

Onboarding Course for International students

 

OCT 15 Join this course designed to help new international students adjust to the new life at CU, covering everything from healthcare, university structures, available services, culture shock, support, up to legal essentials and more!

Mental Health Day

 

OCT 9 Mental Health Day at Charles University will take place at Kampus Hybernská. Join lectures and workshops on LGBTQ+ Mental Health, Women with Autism Spectrum and more.

International Středa, Mezinárodní Wednesday

 

Every Wednesday will continue the beloved series of gatherings organised by the CU Student Ambassadors. Everyone is welcomed! Join us at 7PM at Kampus Hybernská for fun, new connections, and cultural exchange.

Tailor your CV: From Internships to International Jobs

 

OCT 15 Learn how to tailor your resume for global companies, international organisations, and the Czech job market. Join our workshop and make your CV stand out—wherever you apply!

Take Back your Time: Time Management for Students

 

OCT 20 Feeling overwhelmed by studies, work, and everything in between? This interactive workshop will help you beat procrastination, avoid burnout, and take control of your time. Set smart priorities and build a schedule that actually works.

Support Groups for Students with ADHD and Similar Difficulties

 

OCT 23–DEC 18 An open support group starts OCT 23rd and meets every second Thursday at Kampus Hybernská. No ADHD diagnosis needed. For more info and registration, visit our website.

NOV 11 Support bone marrow donation in cooperation with IKEM. Come and get answers to your questions and learn more about this important topic. On-site registration for bone marrow donors aged between 18–40 will be available.

Poster Session at the EOSC CZ National Conference 2025

 

This year’s EOSC CZ National Conference will feature a competitive poster session with a prize for the winner. The competition is open to experienced researchers, students, or early-career scientists with ambitious ideas. Let your ideas shine and join us!

Start your project and learn how to get it off the ground!

 

Sign up by OCT 15th for courses which will guide you through the process from initial idea to implementation. You will gain skills that can be used in academic, business, and other professional life.

 

Student Activities

Student life at Charles University is vibrant, and CU Point is delighted to support student clubs and their events. We thank all the clubs for sending us their event listings and warmly invite students to get involved in student life. You can gain new experience, make friends, and enjoy the satisfaction of successful projects and activities.

Students for Impact Intro Meet-up

 

OCT 9 First meetup in a series, where we explore ideas behind effective altruism from finding most effective charities to existential risks and AI. We hope to invoke a critical, evidence-based discussion.

Culture Evening

 

OCT 13 and 27 Discover different cultures from around the world! In October, two Culture Evenings will take place in the Study Club Celetná starting from 7PM! Culture Evenings are an opportunity to share your culture. Let us know what works for you!

HYB4 Music

 

OCT 16 Two atmospheric musical acts join forces for a tour aptly named 100% safe for human consumption. Come to get a taste of them performing their synth and guitar driven music.

PraSečí Half Marathon

 

OCT 19 Come join us again after a year for a half marathon and meet other athletes! You can register through form, where you’ll also find more information. You can also help as volunteer.

ESN Discussion Panel

 

OCT 23 Join us on Thursday at 6PM at Kampus Hybernska for a panel with students and activists! Topics: LGBTQIA inclusion, mental health, youth in active citizenship, and much more!

HYB4 Gallery

 

Until NOV 14 Three authors, three approaches, three dimensions. Drawing, painting, sculpture, relief, and above all space HYB4 Gallery, for which the authors create a unique and distinctive installation.
