Prorector of CU represents the rector in an appointed activity sector. Rector appoints the prorector after the university Academic Senate's statement.

Activity area of the prorector for study affairs covers especially the duties of academic programs, their implementation, and preparation of accreditations, admissions, decisions on students'rights and duties, review of study, PhD examinations, lifelong learning, and study documents.

The prorector's working conditions are secured by Student Affairs and Studies Department of the Rector's Office of CU.
