Recognition of “Master“Academic Title

According to the § 43, 2 of the Czech Law on Universities No 172/1990 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions also university graduates who finished their studies before this Act came into force and to whom an academic title of “Master“, or professional designation, or other title of university graduate have not been recognized in compliance with previous regulations are entitled to use the “Master“academic title. The university will issue a  certificate (only in Czech) for them.

Notice:

The certificate can be only issued to regular study graduates from CU (or from university which was fused with CU) but not to graduates from extended study or follow-up study or to graduates from other universities.

Change of “Dr.“academic title into “Ph.D.“ and “Th.D.“, conferring  “doctor´s“ title in brief form “Ph.D.“ to doctoral study graduates from medicine faculties.

According to § 43 of the Czech Law on Universities No 172 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions the change refers to graduates who finished their postgraduate doctoral study until December 31^st 1998.
