UJOP (Insitute for Language and Preparatory Studies of CU)

The Institute organizes a 2-semester preparatory program (September - June) for prospective international students wishing to study medicine or technology/engineering in English at the universities in the Czech Republic.

The program is offered by the Poděbrady Study Center and includes 26 lessons a week of English language and profile subjects for the entrance exams.

3rd Medical Faculty in Prague

3rd Medical Faculty, Charles University in Prague offers the 5-month preparatory course in English for international students.

The intensive premedical courses have aim to give students chance to be maximally prepared for successful entrance examinations to study General Medicine in English Curriculum. The course is devoted to biology, chemistry and physics the subjects that are tested in the entrance examinations for medical studies. In addition there are also taught two other classes: Basics of Communication in the Czech Language and Medical English.

CERGE-EI

The Distance Learning Project (DLP) is run by CERGE-EI in Prague and University of Hradec Králové. The DLP offers courses in economics to prepare applicants to CERGE-EI Ph.D. program studies while they stay at their current place of residence. DLP studies combine traditional study texts with passive and active distance tools via Internet. Successful completion of DLP studies increases the chances of being admitted to the summer Preparatory semester in Prague or can lead to direct admission to the CERGE-EI Ph.D. program. Studies in the DLP are provided for free.
