Requirements and Standards:
All prospective students have to meet the following admissions criteria:

Be High school graduates (Secondary school leaving certificates gained abroad are subject to nostrification*. If an international agreement on recognition of equivalence exists, confirmation of the equivalence is issued. The process of nostrification of documents enabling access to higher education is regulated by decrees of the
Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport).

All applicants are required to submit to the respective faculty a completed application with nonrefundable application fee and pass the entrance exams. If applying for studies in Czech the entrance exams are administered in Czech language, if applying for studies in English the exams are administered in English language).
Entrance exams:
Entrance exams are held during the period of June - September according to the respective faculty. It is usually various combination of written and oral exams, practical exams may be required. More specific entry requirements are determined, in accordance with the law, by the dean of the faculty. If applying for studies in Czech the entrance exams are administered in Czech language, if applying for studies in English the exams are administered in English language).

European School graduates with Europan Baccalaureate enjoy the same rights and advantages as other holders of school-leaving certificates in their respective countries, including the same right as nationals with equivalent qualifications to seek admission to any university or institution of higher education in the fifteen European Union countries, the Czech Republic including. European Baccalaureate is equivalent to Czech school-leaving certificate and therefore no further official administrative act is required.
