The International Advisory Board - Second Meeting in Carolinum

On May 11 and 12, the International Advisory Board of Charles University held the second meeting in Carolinum. The discussion focused primarily on new programs to support research, prepared at Charles University (Primus, Progres), and on future evaluation systems at Charles University and on the national level. The International Advisory Board also heard detailed information of the deans of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and Faculty of Social Sciences on research and education at their respective faculties. Written recommendations of the International Board will now be submitted to the Rector’s Collegium for consideration.

The members of the Board include particle physicist Professor Rolf-Dietrich Heuer, director of CERN, mathematician Dr. Maria J. Esteban from the University of Paris, or political scientist Gary W. Marks of the University of North Carolina.
