From 16-19 September Charles University will participate in a major conference and exhibition held by the European Association for International Education (EAIE). Prague has been chosen as this year’s venue and the event will be held in the Congress Centre.

CU considers its participation in this event to be an important tool in advertising the University as a major institution in the field of international education, giving it a unique opportunity to present its qualities through its own exhibition stand. The University will thus continue to pursue its strategic goals in international cooperation.

CU is aware of the importance of the year 2014, which brings with it the new challenges represented by the large-scale Horizont 2020 and Erasmus+ programmes. CU therefore considers it essential to make the most of the opportunity presented by the presence of more than 4,000 current and potential international partners at the EAIE conference, allowing it to follow project offers and global trends in education. CU will endeavour to become involved in not only mobile activities, but also in projects in the fields of innovation, strategic partnerships, knowledge alliances and other major international projects.

At the conference CU will present itself through its own exhibition stand measuring 36 m², which will include presentations on all of its faculties and components. As part of the exhibition the University will provide facilities for meetings and the forging of cooperation and a virtual look at some interesting parts of CU through video projections.

Apart from participation in the EAIE conference itself, CU will also participate in a large number of other seminars, workshops and debates. This year’s conference it titled ‘Stepping into a New Era’, signifying the beginning of a new stage in education programmes for the period up to the year 2020.
